About this Workshop

We deliver this workshop face to face or online at workplaces across Tasmania.  

It is suitable for all employees, volunteers or program participants at any level within your workplace or organisation.  

Increased knowledge about alcohol and other drugs leads to a better understanding of potential harms caused by drugs.

How does it work?

Requesting an alcohol and other drug training session is easy:

  1. Fill out the form on the right to request your training session.
  2. Within 2 business days, you'll receive an email with next steps and your request number.
  3. When your request is at the top of the queue, one of our Educators will be in contact to talk to you in detail about your needs.
  4. Once training is finished, each participant will receive a certificate of attendance.

What to expect:

Participants will leave with an understanding of factors associated with alcohol and other drugs including:

  • How drugs affect the human body
  • Employee and employer responsibilities in reducing risks and harms
  • Where to access support and further information

Make a booking

DEN’s workshops and education sessions are provided to your organisation at no cost thanks to funding from the Tasmanian Government.

The sessions do however attract a minimal booking fee of $55 (GST inclusive) to cover the administrative costs of arranging the session.

At the time of confirming dates for your workshop or education session you will be issued an invoice: once payment is received, your booking will be confirmed.

The session runs for approximately one hour and we can accommodate up to 25 people per workshop.
