About this training

Participants will have the chance to develop their skills in Brief Interventions and gain a deeper understanding of the Stages of Change theory.

The session runs for 5 hours, including a 30-minute break.

How does it work?

Requesting a Brief Intervention Training session is easy:

  1. Fill out the form on the right to request your training.
  2. Within 2 business days, you'll receive an email with next steps and your request number.
  3. When your request is at the top of the queue, one of our Educators will be in contact to talk to you in detail about your needs.
  4. After training dates are set you will be sent an invoice. Bookings are confirmed once payment is received.
  5. On the day, each participant will receive a copy of the Brief Intervention Scaffold (A toolbox for Brief Interventions) and a certificate of attendance.

What to expect:

Participants will leave with:

  • Increased understanding of what a brief Intervention is and why they are used
  • Increased working knowledge of the Stages of Change theory and how it applies to people using alcohol and other drugs
  • Increased skills and confidence providing Brief Interventions

All participants receive a Certificate of Attendance, a hard copy of the Brief Intervention Scaffold, and the Brief Intervention Framework for Tasmania.

For groups of 10 or more people (maximum of 25 per session) = $1,600
