Overview
The Tobacco Coalition was set up in 2004 to enable stakeholders from government and non-government sectors to work together to:
- reduce the prevalence of smoking in Tasmania in accordance with Tasmania Together benchmarks
- provide the framework for the coordination, implementation and review of the Tasmanian Tobacco Action Plan 2011-2015
The Tobacco Control Coalition has two working groups relating to Smoke Free Young People and Smoke Free Pregnancies.
The Drug Education Network is a proud stakeholder of the Coalition and work to provide guidance and expertise to the group.
