Alcohol and Drug Services provide a wide range of services to assist individuals, families and communities to reduce the harm caused by substance abuse. There is no cost for treatment and counseling.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

Alcoholics Anonymous is a self help group for people who are dependent on alcohol. Groups run in several locations throughout southern Tasmania. Group times are listed in the Community Noticeboard in the daily paper. Messages can be left at all times.
AA doesn’t employ professional counsellors or psychologists. When you phone an AA helpline you will be talking to an AA member, a volunteer who is an alcoholic and is using the AA program to recover and stay sober.

Pulse Youth Health Centre

Pulse offers counselling, information and support to young people aged 12-24 in regards to Alcohol and other drugs in addition to other services. An alcohol and other drug service counsellor is available on Wednesday and Friday mornings.

The Link Youth Health Centre
