Alcohol

Aside from the physical consequences of alcohol (possible nausea, vomiting, hangovers), there are other, outside risks. Drinking alcoholic beverages is more often a social activity, done in a group. Because of the psychoactive nature of alcohol – it changes thinking and this can lead to risky and even dangerous behaviour. People are at a higher risk of accidents and injury when they’re under the influence of alcohol, due to these psychoactive and physical effects – Alcohol affects the decision making parts of the brain, leading to poorer decision making and more chance of risky behaviour.
