Alcohol & Drug Services: Detox Centre, Pharmacotherapy Clinic
An in-patient treatment service at the intervention unit in Hobart is available 24 hours a day to assist individuals with detoxification from alcohol and other other drugs.  Carruthers Building, St Johns Park, Hobart  Phone: 6230 7970

Bridge Centre, Salvation Army
The Hobart Bridge Centre is an intensive drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit. It´s set on a bush property and can accommodate up to 20 people on site - both men and women. Throughout the 16 week program, people are re-taught how to look after themselves and their surrounding environment. There is also a Place of Safety Service that provides care for Tasmanians or those visiting Tasmania who are referred by Tasmania police and are intoxicated and unable to support them whilst sobering up. Glenorchy Illicit Drugs Service
Glenorchy Illicit Drugs Service (GIDS) is for young people (25 years and under) who are affected by the use of alcohol and other drugs, and their families and friends. It is run by Anglicare and provides:
• information to young people about the impact of alcohol and other drug use on their health, well being and lifestyle
• counselling and support to young people using alcohol and other drugs, and their families and friends
• community education about alcohol and other drug use

Holyoake Tasmania Inc
Holyoake Tasmania Inc. helps families affected by addiction; alcohol, drugs and gambling or other addictive behaviours. Holyoake delivers specifically targeted programs, including awareness raising, group work and individual counselling. The programs present participants with information relating to the prevalent forms of addictions, their effects on the individual and the family. The programs offer alternative ways of coping with everyday problems. Services are accessible for participants both during the day and in the evening. Salvation Army Drug & Alcohol Outreach Service
The Outreach service operates from both Launceston and Hobart providing support and counselling to Tasmanians who:
• Are unable or choose not to enter a residential program
• Would like support dealing with their or a family member´s addictive behaviour.

Sexual Health Branch South
